In June 2005 the then Jobcentre recognised the need to more effectively engage employers and encourage them to use its services. As a result Jobcentre Plus was created and Redwood was asked to produce a magazine that establishes the agency as the gateway to the UK labour market.

		Inspiration, motivation, action Jobcentre Plus is a government agency supporting people of working age from welfare into work, and helping employers to fill their vacancies. They are part of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and play a major role in supporting the Department's aim to 'promote opportunity and independence for all through modern, customer-focused services'. Engage magazine is sent to employers, in spring and autumn, to encourage them to use Jobcentre Plus to recruit staff and to find out about employment issues. more The magazine's objectives are to provide employer education about labour issues; to increase employer confidence in Jobcentre Plus services, and to provide information about Jobcentre Plus. The core audience is mainly small to medium enterprises, although there is content that appeals to large employers. The magazine's tone of voice reflects the Jobcentre Plus brand, which is upbeat, confident and positive. close
