POSITIVE PARENTING

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) campaigns to end cruelty to children, supports vulnerable families and fights to change the law.

Redwood launched their award-winning magazine, Your family, in March 2005. It has since been succeeded by the website yourfamily.org.uk, which offers support to parents 24/7.

Redwood partnered with Razorfish to launch yourfamily.org.uk in April 2008. The site has experienced considerable levels of traffic and been well recognised within the industry: it was highly recommended for Best Digital Solution at the APA Creative Awards 2009 and won Best Home Page and Best Integrated Marketing Solution at the APA Creative Awards 2008. Also in 2008, it was short-listed for Best Digital Launch at the BSME Awards, and Best Launch at both the AOP Awards and APA Effectiveness Awards.

The website is aimed at parents of newborns to nine year olds and covers all aspects of family life, from dealing with tantrums and sleep problems to bonding with your new baby and escaping domestic violence. more

All content is produced by Redwood and is easily accessible due to Your family's dynamic yet user-friendly design. The site incorporates real-life stories, celebrity interviews, parenting news, expert advice, activity ideas, family recipes, and forums where users can connect, share and support each other. more

Exciting interactive tools make the website stand out from its competitors in the online parenting sector. The 'Digital Nanny' offers users personalised expert advice, when they enter their child's age and gender, on a variety of topics ranging from discipline to nutrition.

Visitors can also register to become full 'members' of the site, allowing them to safely create their own profiles, show off their children's artwork in the gallery, celebrate their achievements on the 'Well Done Wall', and swap thoughts and advice in the forums.

All of this, together with exclusive video content including expert advice and things to make with your child, helps to make parenting fun and interactive. close

Your family social media

We set up a Facebook fan page in September 2009 to help the Your family brand reach a wider audience of mums and dads who are not necessarily searching for advice but enjoy using social media. It has tips on being a positive parent and ideas for cheap ways to have fun as a family, as well as regular updates about new articles, recipes and giveaways on the website to look out for. Our number of fans are increasing and engaging well with the brand through comments and other activity, as well as driving new users to the site.
